In Order to Achieve a Smooth and Even Buttercream Frosting, a Refrigerator is not Required.
Frosting, contrary to popular belief, does not have to be stored in the refrigerator. Frosting from a can has a shelf life of up to 18 months in the pantry before it goes bad. Buttercream frosting, for example, can be stored in the pantry.
Frosting can be kept at room temperature for up to three days after it has been opened. If you want to keep it tasting fresher for longer, store it in the refrigerator. In the meantime, treat yourself to a sweet treat.
