You do not Need to Allow Your Carrots to Become Lean.
Carrots exposed to water that has condensed inside a refrigerator may rot more quickly than they would otherwise. If they come into contact with water, they may become limp and droopy as a result. The best way to ensure that they remain dry is to keep them at room temperature while they are stored.
If kept at room temperature, carrots can maintain their quality for up to five days after purchase. Wrapping them in a paper towel and putting them in the refrigerator will keep them from going stale. Every few days or so, clean the area with new paper towels and replace the ones that were there previously. Maintaining a dry environment for your carrots will prevent them from becoming limp.
