Remember YouTube’s old mobile app? You know, pre-2011? Honestly, the logo looked incredibly one-note and … boring. Just plain boring. No signature black and red from the website logo. It’s just a bland, brown, vintage-looking television set. How enthralling. But it’s apparently a marker for nostalgia, according to the below Twitter post.
The early 2010s were a different time – no TikTok, no Snapchat, and no depressing Twitter doom-scrolling. YouTube’s mobile app image was wildly different then, and not a very appealing image at that. Admittedly, this was something we erased from our minds. We left it back in the early 2010s where it belongs.
