Ridiculous Things Mom and Dad Made Us Believe 

One of a child’s favorite past times is playing in the sandbox, so most parents know it’s a pain in the rear the clean the sand off their infant’s clothes, get all the little sand particles out of their shoes, and how hard it is to avoid getting sand in the car and the house post play.

In order to avoid an annoying mess, this child’s parents told her that she was allergic to sand. While sand can hold bacteria, the possibility of any human having an allergic reaction to sand is highly unlikely. You have a better chance of being allergic to sunlight. She didn’t realize how ridiculous this was until she was older.
