Bundle Up
You may remember your parents telling you before leaving the house in the wintertime to bundle up, not to stay warm, because if you don’t you’ll catch a cold. This may have been their tactic to scare us into putting on our coat, hat, scarf, and gloves when we threw tantrums about it.
If you believed this as a child, you may have gotten confused when you got older and occasionally caught a cold in the summer. Of course, the temperature is not the cause of viruses. Covering your mouth when you cough and sneeze and washing your hands often would have been much more valuable lessons to instill into us.
