#38 – Shea Couleé
This Chicago performer has been doing drag since 2012, landing a spot on Season 9 of Drag Race and bringing home the crown for Season 5 of All Stars. She’s an outspoken activist for queer POC and has done several interviews about racism and transgender women of color.
She’s released one EP, Couleé-D and multiple singles in the past five years and collaborated with many fellow drag performers on their music videos. She was a guest on Season 17 of Bachlorette, and played Marcia Brady on the spoof Dragging the Classics: The Brady Bunch. Her activism is a worthy venture, even if it doesn’t pay as well!
