Cue Cards Are Passed Out To Contestants
The most exciting moments of “The Price is Right” are when lucky audience members are called to “Come on down!” to the stage. It sounds pretty loud on the TV, but apparently its way louder live. Many audience members have even claimed to have sustained temporary hearing loss because of the volume.
Sometimes it’s so loud that people don’t hear their names being called. Therefore, the showrunners started using cue cards that have the chosen contestants’ names written on them, so people know to come on down. Aside from that they can’t do much about the noise.
