Postcard Answers Have Been A Part of The Show from The Start
Longtime fans will recognize the words “answers on a postcard.” This phrase was first used on the show in the 1950’s, and meant for people to guess the price of the prize bundle. Nowadays instead of postcards, viewers can guess the cost of a bundle using the app.
Back in the day, people didn’t have apps and had to mail in their guesses on postcards. Even though now there is an app the name has stayed the same. When prices were mailed in, the show had people on the payroll, just to read all the postcards looking for a winner.
