11. A Country That Cares
After seeing several items on this list, it’s probably no surprise to learn that South Korea cares about the people who live there. When they are sick or are required to stay in isolation, a care package is sent out with all the essentials, and it even includes fresh fruits and vegetables packed full of vitamin C. How incredibly thoughtful!
Facemasks have long been used as a courtesy to others when you’re sick in South Korea. Just like Japan and China, mask usage is a way to keep your questionable germs away from those you ride the bus with and work with so that even the common cold doesn’t spread around rapidly. They are also included in the care package.
