16. Winter Beauty
Fall isn’t the only breathtaking season in South Korea. This photo of a storefront in winter covered in snow seems like something out of a Christmas movie. Snow is quite common in the northern regions and even occasionally dusts the southern, as well. From December to February, you can expect to see just under an inch each day.
In fact, even though the predominant religion is Buddhism, Christmas is celebrated here, just like many other countries. It’s a national holiday, and people celebrate by adorning their storefronts and house with lights and setting up trees with gifts underneath. If you’re looking for a magical time to visit, the end of December is perfect.
