Textbooks are a common target for thieves
There’s a saying that those who steal don’t read books, and those that read books don’t steal. While it might sound good at face value, this isn’t always the case. Don’t think that your precious $1,000 college textbooks aren’t worth anything to a thief. They don’t care about the subject matter, they only care about what they can get for it.
This guy was the victim of a textbook burglary. He left six books in his car (a huge mistake), and a thief just shattered his windows to take all of them. If your books get stolen, just assume that you’re never going to get them back.
