Star Wars Jokes That Aren’t Just for Diehard Fans

One of the most iconic scenes in Episode I is when Darth Maul comes on his hovering device and battles Qui-Gon in the desert. However, many of us didn’t realize at the time that Darth Maul nearly decapitated Anakin to get at Qui-Gon. This kid who hadn’t done anything wrong (yet) just happened to be in the way, and Darth Maul didn’t even hit the brakes!

If Qui-Gon hadn’t told Ani to duck, or if Ani didn’t listen, the entire Star Wars saga would have ended in Episode I. There’d be no Darth Vader, and the Empire might have never taken control. So, if you think about it, Qui-Gon is the actual bad guy here.
