Cutting Corners
You can always tell when the graphic designer for product packaging has had enough for the day and is cutting corners so they can clock out and be done with it. We just wish they had actually looked at the literal corner of their box before putting it on shelves and giving customers the heebie-jeebies.
It looks like the designer wanted to squeeze every ounce of use out of that one image of a woman’s face by using it on two sides of the box at once. When facing the box head-on, consumers are met with a friendly grin, but the image turns into something more sinister when viewed from the edge.
