Scaring Is Caring
Sometimes we need to be scared straight to ditch bad habits and get ourselves in line, but we imagine our parents or a boot camp commander spooking us into submission rather than a religious figure like Jesus. However, if you go to the church that hosts this sign, you might meet a new side to the religious figurehead.
We get what they were going for, but the designer of this neon cross sign only half-baked their idea before taking it out of the oven and serving it up to the public. Rather than leaving us feeling soothed by the knowledge Jesus cares, we’re feeling anxious being told he scares us.
