Pepper Prison
From time to time, we find ourselves stumped by how to use something due to unfamiliarity with a foreign language masquerading as a design flaw. Take, for example, this Dutch pepper from the Netherlands. We could easily be missing out on something by not understanding what the label actually says because we assume we know it all.
A quick Google search reveals that Silvo does sell their four seasons pepper in a grinder bottle, and the value size pictured is intended for buyers to refill their pepper mills or use the whole kernels in cooking. That explains a lot, but we’re still puzzled by the point of the teensy holes in the lid that trap the pepper inside. We’ll just remove the whole lid.
