Stuff We’ve Been Using Wrong The Whole Time: Let Me Show You

October 13, 2011 by Jade Parker

Dry Shampoo Switcheroo

Dry shampoo is one of those crucial beauty products that help us deceive the world into thinking we totally have our life together and definitely didn’t just roll out of bed with hair that hasn’t met real shampoo for days. It soaks up all the oils and leaves us smelling floral fresh, but in our haze of laziness, we’ve been doing it all wrong.

Dry shampoo works better when used as a preventative measure rather than a cure for skipping the suds. To maximize the benefits, apply it before bed to allow extra time for the product to soak up those unwanted oils. If you insist on using your dry shampoo before dashing out the door, give it a good 10 minutes between application and brushing it out.
