Field Hockey Player Ellen Hoog
Ellen Hoog represented the Netherlands in three Olympic Games in Beijing, London, and Rio de Janeiro. In the first two events, she took home the gold medal but lost it to Great Britain in 2016. She first started playing field hockey in high school. In 2005 while playing on the collegiate level, she became a European Champion. Ellen went pro after graduating and won the Women’s Hockey World Cup in 2006 and 2014.
While still a pro player, she was featured in the Swimsuit Edition of Sports Illustrated. Now at 33 years old, she’s estimated to be worth around $3 million. She left the competitive world of field hockey in 2016, got married a year later, and gave birth to her daughter in 2019.
