Soccer Player Hope Solo
Hope Solo was Team USA’s goalkeeper in the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Olympics. In her first two Olympic appearances, she helped keep our goals free of black-and-white balls and took home gold medals in the process. However, she made headlines in 2016 for all the wrong reasons. During the 2016 Olympics, she forced the deciding penalty shot session to pause as she wasted time switching her gloves. They lost and took home the silver medal.
She started her professional career in 1996 at just 15 years of age. Her final league team was the Seattle Reigns, where she started in 54 games. When she retired, she’d made over $3 million in endorsement deals and prize money.
