Snowboarder Silje Norendal
SIlje Norendal is a former snowboarder from Norway. She specialized in the slopestyle and Big Air events, taking home the gold medal in the Winter X Games in 2013 and 2014. She would repeat the feat in 2015 before making it to the World Championships in 2017 and 2019, winning the bronze and silver medals.
Since 2019, Silje has never stepped foot on an icy slope. She and her professional hockey player boyfriend, Alexander Bonsaksen, got engaged in mid-2018. After competing for roughly seven years, the 27-year-old Norwegian amassed over $1 million in prize money. She has yet to make an appearance at the Winter Olympics, but we hope she will soon.
