Paige Sletten was the victim of bullying throughout high school. In fact, it got so bad that she legally changed her last name to VanZant. Maybe if she knew that she had the power to beat her opponents to a pulp, the bullies would’ve backed off of her. The UFC announced in 2013 that Paige would be among 11 other women signed to the league’s newly established strawweight division. In the 15 professional bouts she fought, she won eight of them (two by way of KO). In 2020, she signed a contract in the Bre Knuckle Fighting Championship, taking home a $1 million signing bonus.
