In a Rush
There’s so much lingo in football that it can be hard to understand what people are talking about sometimes. One of the most frequently heard ones is a “rushing yard” – just what on Earth is that?! Well, this phrase refers to the number of yards a player loses or gains.
This only comes when they’re running and holding the ball, but it can’t contain any passes. Some people count this figure across a whole season or just an individual match. Either way – the fact that Timmy Smith managed to get 204 rushing yards is certainly amazing. I don’t think anyone could beat that!
