Badgers Galore
Since Sweden is nearly 70% lush green forests, you would be correct in presuming that Sweden has its fair share of wildlife, which include moose and wolves. While you definitely don’t want to mess around with a wolf, especially during the mating season, it’s actually the badger that you should fear the most.
There’s a folktale in Sweden that says if a badger bites you, it won’t let go until it snaps your bones. In fact, the fear of badgers is so bad that some people, particularly kids, will stuff crispbread in their socks. That way, if a badger grabs hold of their foot, the snapping sound of the bread will tell the badger that its job of snapping bones is complete.
