Summertime Foraging
Does going down to the forest to get your hands dirty while foraging for berries and mushrooms sound like a fun summertime activity? If it does, then you’ll love Sweden. Many Swedes make use of the June to August months to get in touch with nature.

They have a Freedom to Roam Act in Sweden, which states that any citizen is more than welcome to pick plants in public areas, with the exception being protected flora. So, while orchids are strictly off-limits, you’re more than welcome to pick anything off the ground you wish to take home or eat immediately. Just make sure you have a guide to edible berries and mushrooms with you.
