With the weird popularity (weird by our standards, anyway) of laundromats, you’d think that people would have the equivalent of quarters on their persons at all times. This, however, isn’t the case. In Sweden, people are used to paying with credit and debit cards, as well as other forms of mobile payment.

So, while you may have a wallet jam-packed with Swedish krona, unless you can convert that into digital money or have a bank account, your money is literally no good in many establishments. That’s one of the perks (or downsides, depending on your viewpoint) of going almost 100% paperless.
