The Last Cookie
While Lördagsgodis is specifically for eating candy, that doesn’t mean Swedes can’t enjoy dessert after every meal. When there’s one final piece of dessert on the plate, even though everyone wants to sink their teeth into it, Swedes will politely pretend that it doesn’t exist.

Only after 15 minutes or so will someone address the elephant in the room and ask whether any of the other people want the final cookie. If everyone lies and says no, you’re free to stuff the thing in your mouth at the dismay of your dinner guests. Thems is the rules of being polite at a Swedish dinner party.
