#2: Nothing Can Go Wrong
When someone says “nothing can go wrong,” it’s almost guaranteed something will go wrong. That’s a rule good of thumb to live by. It’s almost like Murphy’s Law – is you say something won’t happen, it’s guaranteed to happen, and the other way around. Generally, anything that can go wrong is likely to go wrong.
Science experiments in school are supposed to be harmless, so we can’t see why this teacher would take the risk and use the phrase “nothing can go wrong.” It’s almost like he wanted something to go wrong. Maybe it was all a scheme to make the chemistry lab unusable for two weeks.
