#26: A Good Example?
It’s great when teachers encourage their students to be well-rounded, and leading by example is fantastic. Of course, history is an integral part of education, but a student also needs to appreciate art, culture, sports, and literature. Unfortunately, this teacher didn’t have the kids’ best interest in mind – he had sports in his mind!
When an outside activity begins to interfere with your job, that may be a sign you’ve taken it too far. For example, loving sports so much that you keep up with the scores is one thing, but interrupting your class to check on your gambling wins and losses is sad. We wonder if he ever managed to overcome this addiction.
