#29: A Rhymed Warning
Teachers are always on the lookout for cheating. They must get so tired of repeating warnings over and over again. How many times can you say “eyes on your own paper,” and in how many different ways? Nobody likes to sound like a broken record player. That’s why this teacher’s approach is so refreshing.
She ensured that her warning would stick in their heads by coming up with a fun rhyme. It worked so well that this student remembered it for years after! But we still have a question: did this teacher’s warning in verse actually prevent any cheating? Or perhaps students simply recited it in their heads as their eyes wandered sideways.
