#33: Handling an Irritating Habit
We all have our pet peeves. Heck, some people have several of them. We also have our little quirks, which we unconsciously do when we’re bored (i.e., in class). For example, some people twirl their hair and others doodle. However, when one person’s pet peeve happens to overlap another person’s coping skill for boredom it’s a recipe for disaster.
This teacher has a pretty good method for eliminating the source of her pet peeve. Tossing pens out of the window may seem harsh, but we bet she only had to do it once in the class for everybody to get the message. Furthermore, we bet nobody even risked temptation after the first incident; they all probably just used pencils all year.
