#51: A Steamy Lesson
Using movies in class is a great way to engage your students in the subject material. Complete immersion in another language forces the students to really embrace the language and not fall back on the safety of their native tongue. However, it’s incredibly important for the teacher to know the movie’s content before showing it to students.
This poor teacher was probably more concerned about what the students’ parents would think than the students’ reaction. We have to give this teacher an A for effort in trying to shield the students from seeing an R-rated scene in class, but sadly she gets an F for execution. That’s why using a projector in class is never a good idea.
