Amusing and Confusing Texts Between Landlords and Tenants

October 22, 2010 by Molly Reynolds

We all live under rent at one point or another, before we can afford to buy our own place. When choosing an apartment, especially in 2022, one thing you want to be sure of is choosing an apartment with an “out of your hair” kind of landlord. Some landlords are only there to make sure everything in the apartment works properly, while other landlords, as it seems, can be quite a nuisance. Either way, it’s important to stay on good terms with your landlord, and it’s not always an easy task. They say that the ideal landlord is the one you never hear from, and judging by these confusing text messages, we couldn’t agree more. So let’s bring in 2022 the right way with the best, most outrageous landlord tests that people received.

This Is Your Landlord Speaking

Sending a text message to the wrong person is something that happened to all of us at least once before. Take it from us, if someone tells you this never happened to them, they must be lying. It’s quite easy to send a text to the wrong recipient when we’re busy, in a rush or otherwise preoccupied, and it’s an understandable human mistake.

Sending a text message to the wrong person always creates an uncomfortable situation, but it’s even worse when this person is your landlord, and the text message was meant for your girlfriend. At least his landlord found a way of making things less awkward by reminding him he’s late on paying his rent as if he wasn’t feeling embarrassed enough as it is. Good job.
