It’s important to make a good impression on the landlord so that they’d pick you over other potential candidates, and in order to keep an open channel of communication and trust between the two of you. However, making a good impression is one thing, and making the landlord fall in love with you is a whole other scenario. This is going to be an awkward conversation.
We’re sure this woman didn’t do anything in purpose or try to entice the landlord in any way, but she was just being charming. The problem is, she was being too charming. There’s this unspoken rule that a landlord and his tenant shouldn’t get personally involved – don’t mix business and pleasure – and apparently, this landlord isn’t aware of this rule.
