Same Same but Different
The one basic assumption we have about our landlords is that they’re familiar with the apartment. After all, it’s their property; even if they don’t live there, you expect them to familiarize themselves with the place. As it turns out, we were wrong to think every landlord is familiar with their property. Maybe we ought to lower our expectations.
When this person texted his landlord to let them know the power was out, he expected his landlord to be able to lend a hand. Not only was the landlord of no use, but he might also have even made things worse. As it turns out, he doesn’t even know where the power box is located. The basement and the garage are two different things. Maybe next time, instead of calling the landlord, he’d have more luck calling an electrician.
