Falling Short
Deep down in our hearts, we know that most landlords don’t really care about their tenants, rather they care about their monthly income. That’s okay, after all, they’re not a charity, and they’re in this business for the money. However, it seems to us like counting the pennies and pointing out the tenant was less than 50 cents short seems like a wild exaggeration.
What, does he think the tenant is trying to rob him, 40 cents at a time? That’s preposterous. Besides, why set the rent at 1,440.46 in the first place? Why not make it 1,440 and avoid such awkward conversations in the future? Do these 40 cents really make that much of a difference? This is certainly one confusing text message.
