All Dressed Up With Nowhere to Go
This tweet makes a really good point about a part of Thanksgiving most of us take for granted. Everyone usually dresses up a bit nicer for the holidays. Button-up shirts, new dresses, and fancy shoes are everywhere at Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. But… it’s kind of weird if you think about it.
We’re all getting dressed up to hang out in the kitchen and living room all day. No one else is going to see us besides our own closest family and friends. Why do we pressure ourselves in this way? We’d all be better off if we openly decided to wear sweatpants and pullovers. Everyone would be comfy and have a bit of extra stretch to accommodate for all the turkey we’re about to eat.
