The Tesla Twist
Nikola Tesla is a world-renowned engineer and physicist, but these days his surname is more commonly associated with Elon Musk’s line of electric cars – some of which are smart enough to drive themselves. The cars have a more exotic feel than your run-of-the-mill Chevy or Ford, which might fool some into thinking they’re imported.
When Three Year Letterman went on a rampage about Tesla (the car company), Twitter quickly reminded him that cars are American-made, and that the Serbian-American engineer had nothing to do with them since he died in 1943, long before Elon Musk borrowed his famous name for branding. Thankfully Three Year Letterman isn’t actually this dense. He’s just really good at getting people riled up for the sake of satire.
