Ammonia Pneumonia
We couldn’t uncover the backstory of this internet feud, but judging by what we have, the first commenter seems to be defending kids over cats, possibly as an explanation for a no-pet policy. They pointed out how cats can destroy walls and leave behind the strong scent of pee, which can be true, but their reasoning was all wrong.
They’ve clearly never shared a bathroom with people who miss the toilet and refuse to clean up after themselves, but we digress. The word they were looking for was “ammonia,” which also appears in human pee, but cats get a bad rep, thanks to the super concentrated chemicals in their waste. This is why you should never clean cat pee with bleach – it exaggerates the smell and releases dangerous gasses.
