When 99% is 100%
Suppose you were lucky enough to receive a comprehensive sex-ed in school or get the nitty gritty from your parents at home. In that case, you know the only guaranteed way to avoid having babies is abstinence, but this Twitter user is adamant that if they reason hard enough, 99% can also be 100%.
They admit that the efficacy rate is below 100% but then tout it as being 100% more effective than going unprotected. We get what they were going for. They were trying to say that using protection is undoubtedly better than nothing at all, but the math still doesn’t add up, and that’s important to consider when making potentially life-altering decisions.
