Please Don’t Pass the Milk
This map uses blue hues from light to dark to illustrate which countries have citizens that experience lactose intolerance the most. What is it about the diet of other countries that makes dairy so much more tolerable in Western countries? The darker the blue, the more intolerable the people in that country are to dairy.
It looks like most countries in Africa, Southeast Asia, South America, and Central America completely stay away from dairy. Tourists will barely find dairy on the menu when they travel to these foreign countries. Russia and America seem to be able to tolerate dairy the most. However, Alaska, one of the 50 states of the US, is shown to be lactose intolerant.
