An Interesting Work-Around
As you walk through Disneyland and Disney World, you’re bound to notice a bunch of American flags waving in the wind. This makes sense since these parks are in the United States. But what you may not have noticed is that these American flags are not like other American flags out there. In fact, there’s something intentionally off about them…
Each flag at a Disney park isn’t actually an official U.S. flag. Each one has a minor flaw, such as a missing star or stripe, so it’s technically an imitation flag. Why would Disney do this? Well, it’s done so that Disney parks don’t have to adhere to the U.S. Flag Code. They don’t have to break the illusion of Disney by flying flags at half-mast, for example.
