The Tree of Life
If you’ve had a chance to visit Disney World, you’ve probably seen the famous Tree of Life in the Animal Kingdom. It’s a beautiful tree meant to celebrate our natural world. There’s just one thing, though. It isn’t a real tree! The massive Tree of Life is actually a beautiful sculpture that has over 8,000 branches, 100,000 handmade leaves, and 325 carvings of animals.
It’s modeled off of a baobab tree, native to Madagascar and mainland Africa, and towers at 145 feet tall. It’s a sight to behold, and the shows that are projected onto it are truly breathtaking. Interestingly, the Tree of Life is one of the very few artificial trees at the park.
