Picture Perfect
If you’ve been to a Disney park, you’ve probably noticed that different parts of the park have differently colored brick or concrete. This is obviously done as part of the design, and it makes it easier to mark the beginnings and ends of different “worlds” within the park. In addition, there’s also a less obvious reason behind the fun blues, yellows, and reds on the ground.
Not only do the colorful bricks and concrete make Disneyland and Disney World more aesthetically pleasing, but it also encourages more pictures! Disney partnered with Kodak on a study that found the use of colored concrete made people more likely to take photos in those areas. In our modern age of photo-ops for social media, this is definitely a plus for Disney!
