Horses are very intelligent animals and we do not give them enough credit for it. We have often heard stories of dogs or even cats stepping up and doing amazing things, but little is known about the compassion of horses. It is true that after the dog, horses are a human’s best friend and have been for quite some time. Horses have gone hand in hand with the human race for thousands of years and we have celebrated them in art and other aspects of our history and culture. Maybe that is why they have grown so close to us that they can even tell when something is happening inside our bodies. Just like the odd story here about a horse that was more than just a friend, but a special animal that could sense something no one else saw coming. Many never would have thought that in a million years, this would be possible.
Meet Jolene
Jolene at the time was just a high school student when the course of her life was defined for her. She was a friendly girl, who had many friends at school and was living a normal life. It wasn’t until someone transferred into her small high school that everything would change for her.
But until that day would come, Jolene was doing her regular school routine, hanging out with friends, going to parties and just being young. The entire time though, she always had a connection with animals. She grew up around horses and other farm animals and they were very special to her.
