Kate Jackson then
Kate Jackson is one of the original Charlie’s Angels. Back in 1975, the actress was cast to the hit show as Sabrina Duncan. She had a contract with the show’s production company, and she was obliged to be on the show before it was even called Charlie’s Angels. In fact, Jackson was the one who came up with the iconic name. Originally, the title of the show was supposed to be The Alley Cats.
The show’s whopping success landed Kate and her co-stars, Jaclyn Smith and Farrah Fawcett-Majors, a cover story on Time magazine. Following the success of the show, on 1979, Jackson was asked to host an episode of the fourth season of Saturday Night Live. Jackson was also offered the lead role in Kramer Vs. Kramer, but had to turn down the part due to the busy filming schedule of Charlie’s Angels. Eventually, Meryl Streep got the part and even won an Oscar for her performance.
