Jodie Foster then
Jodie Foster is younger than some of the other stars on the list, and that’s because her Hollywood career started when she was only five years old. Born in 1962, Foster landed her first acting gig in 1965 – a TV commercial for the nostalgic sunscreen brand Coppertone. In 1968, at the age of five, foster had landed her first “real” acting role, a minor role on the sitcom Mayberry R.F.D., in which her older brother was the star.
Foster was a promising child star, and at the age of 12, she was cast by no other than Martin Scorsese for his 1976 film Taxi Driver. This was ultimately the role that shot her to stardom. During production, fellow actor Robert De Niro saw the potential in the young star and took her under his wing.
