Goldie Hawn then
American actress Goldie Hawn is among the women who inspired the blonde stereotypes – mostly, the “blonde bombshell” typecast that was popular during the seventies. Hawn rose to fame during the late sixties, thanks to her appearance on NBC’s popular comedy show Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In.
She made her film debut in the comedy Cactus Flower in 1969 for which she received an Academy Award as well as a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress. Much like her career, her love life has also attracted great media attention during the seventies and eighties. The actress was married twice, and she’s the mother of three children – all actors – including award-winning actress Kate Hudson.
