Who Is Going To Tell Them?
The Titanic was considered the pinnacle of human engineering and ingenuity when it was built in 1912. Many people believed it was unsinkable. However, on its maiden voyage, the Titanic met its fateful end when it struck an iceberg and sank to the bottom of the ocean. M than 1,500 passengers and crew members perished, and the disaster is still remembered today as a cautionary tale about hubris and overconfidence.
It is also remembered as the highest-grossing film of all time upon its 1997 release, but just because we memorialized it with a Hollywood movie doesn’t mean it never happened. Sure, Jack and Rose were born of pure fiction, but the Titanic and its demise are irrefutably real. Hasn’t this person heard the phrase “based on a true story?”
