“But Point Taken”
The confusion between miles and kilometers stems from the fact that these two units are used to measure distance, but they are not interchangeable. A mile is a unit of distance commonly used in the United States, while a kilometer is a unit of distance commonly used in the metric system. Because these units are different, it can be confusing when trying to convert distances.
We can’t help but wonder if they really got the point given the confidence in their response. One mile will always be 1.6 km, no matter how many red, white, and blue stars you wish upon. Therefore, it takes few brain cells to reason that converting these distances from kilometers to miles will yield the same results when investigating which one is farther away.
