That’s Chillingly Ignorant
Once upon a time, in a land before refrigerators, people had to get creative with their food storage. They would bury their leftovers in the ground or pack them in ice to keep them fresh, but that only went so far until Fred W. Wolf invented the refrigerator for home use. It was a true game-changer, and the inventor became known as the “coolest” person in history. Get it?
Due to the high price tag, it took a while for them to infiltrate our kitchens. Refrigerators were available in the UK in the 1920s, and it wasn’t until 1970 that most people had one, but they did. It’s nearly 2023, so if you put your thinking cap on, it just might tell you that Brits do indeed have refrigerators.
