Independent And Ignorant
The 4th of July is a day of celebration for Americans. It is the day that we commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence, which declared our independence from Great Britain and established the United States as an independent nation. On this day, Americans everywhere gather with friends and family to eat hot dogs, light fireworks and wave the stars and stripes.
As fun as it might be to party like it’s 1776 and celebrate with a bang, it seems more than odd to expect other countries to pull out all the stops to celebrate our independence. Can you imagine Great Britain grilling up hot dogs and lighting fireworks to celebrate Americans breaking free? On second thought, after reading this exchange, they might.
